“Stitch” Magazine Offer: A Bouquet of Stitch
As featured in the October/November issue of Stitch, a magazine published by The Embroiderer’s Guild.
Inspired by my award-winning piece Where Flowers Bloom, my magazine article A Bouquet of Stitch will get you started with the wonderful possibilities of printed, dyed and stitched Lutradur, using textile inks, Thermofax screens and variegated threads.
But if you’re worried about investing in dyes, screens and inks, or you can’t find Lutradur easily, fear not!
The Bouquet of Stitch kit takes care of the wet-work processes for you so you can get straight to the stitching.
Included is a 30cm x 30cm piece of Lutradur already screen printed and brightly coloured, just ready to be embellished using your free-motion machine skills and favourite threads.
This is your chance to make a piece with the same materials and motifs that I used to win second prize in the Innovative category at the Festival of Quilts 2009.
Alongside the ready-to-stitch Lutradur, your kit will include clear instructions on how to embellish your work with illustrations of stitches, suggestions on thread colours and advice on using a heat gun to melt sections of the Lutradur. Threads are not included.
Or, if you prefer, buy one finished, mounted and ready to frame.
