Learn the skills, techniques and design basics without the stress and worry of having to achieve a qualification. This is a month-by-month hands-on workshop that will give you the confidence to plan, develop and produce your own series of work. The course will include fabric dyeing, screen printing, fabric construction/deconstruction, using computers/printers/copies to reproduce artwork, keeping a sketchbook, developing a series of work, producing work to exhibit/sell and much more!

Sketchbooks for the Terrified 2 Days £70

How to develop beautiful sketchbooks without having to do any drawing! Over two days you will produce at least one sketchbook full of inspirational ideas for future development into fabric and stitch, or just to sit and admire. A fun-filled experience with many exercises to help you develop your skill in observing, designing and using lots of techniques. You may never worry about your lack of drawing skills again and no one will ever guess you cant draw! Come and be inspired!
Photo transfer printing onto fabrics - 1 Day - £35

Make your own personalised gifts and mementos pictures, labels, cushions, cards and bags using photo transfer printing. Learn how to transfer your own images using photo transfer and stitch into beautiful and individual textiles. Materials £5.00
Photo Quilt Design 2 Days - £70

Combine your family, holiday and other special memory photos with fabrics to create an original and beautiful memory quilt whilst learning computer photo transfer printing. Choice of four quilt designs and computer printing equipment provided. Day 1 will be spent creating your design, learning some camera, editing and printing techniques and choosing fabrics to complement your photos. On Day 2 you will piece together your quilt and learn some new techniques and special effects for using photos in your future designs. There will be a £10 materials fee for this class.

Learn how to transfer your own images using photo transfer and stitch into a beautiful and unique painting using exciting new materials provided. Husqvarna machines & technical expertise provided.

A bouquet of Flowers - 1 Day - £35

Spend a fun day practicing your free motion machine skills onto Lutradur, already screen printed with a bouquet of flowers and coloured ready for you to create a beautiful original small wall hanging to mount and frame. You will be using your darning foot, feed dogs down and will gain lots of experience, confidence and knowledge on how to draw freehand on your machine. A chance to let loose with all those variegated threads and embellish with tiny snips of fabrics and beads.
