Birmingham Market

I spent several days and one night photographing and sketching the sights of Birmingham Market, people, products, conversations… the hustle and bustle that makes up the character of the Rag Market, the Fruit and Flowers Trade Markets and the Indoor markets.  The outcome is a double-sided wall-hanging using photo transfer printed onto fabric, transfer paints, block piecing and collaged stitch. Size  132cmH x 48cmW  Exhibited at the Surface Design Association (SDA) Conference, Kansas City, USA.
